About
For as long as I can remember, I have been obsessed with bass fishing. I have been a lifetime member of B.A.S.S. for decades and eagerly consume articles from Bassmaster, Bass Times, and BassBlaster. My first boat was an old aluminum boat that I had on a trailer. Growing up in Delaware, I would spend my weekends searching for new ponds and lakes. As my income grew, so did my boat. My first new boat was a 2000 Triton TR22, with a 225hp Mercury Optimax. It was signed by Ray Scott, Earl Bentz, and Bob Cobb who were all at the Timonium boat show, where I purchased it. It was my pride and joy for over a decade.
I have been fortunate enough to travel to some of the best bass fishing destinations in the world including Lake Toho, Falcon Lake, Lake Fork and El Salto. On a trip in 2015 to Lake Fork, my guide had a brand new Ranger Z521C. When he punched it, the hole shot was unbelievable. I was with my dad, and he just smiled and said “I guess you will be buying a new boat.” A few months later I purchased my first Ranger, a 2014 Z521C with a Yamaha 250hp SHO. It has been a great boat and provides me with many happy memories.
This website is a passion project. I am attempting to compile a bunch of information that hopefully will be helpful to fellow fisherman. I have spent the last 30 years of my professional life in the travel business. I have managed literally BILLIONS of dollars worth of travel for clients. If I am able to achieve my goal, this website will be a valuable trip planning resource for fisherman looking to do long, bucket list fishing trips. My inspiration came from the Bassmaster article - 100 Best Bass Lakes: Top 10 for 2019 while planning a trip for my 50th birthday. I will document that trip and update this site accordingly.
I hope you enjoy it! Best~Mike
